Hello

Well I hope everyone has had a great Thanksgiving! I have had a busy day, I cleaned the kitchen, and went shopping, don't worry it was the grocery store, came home and made homemade chicken and dumplings and started on my matchbook album, I now have 3 done! I need to make about 4 more, but I may do a few tomorrow. I must say they are very fun, and to give credit, I watched a YouTube video by Kathy Orta, she is awesome!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bread is rising to make homemade yeast rolls, green beens are prepped, bacon is cooked and corn is ready! We are spending Thanksgiving at my sister' s home. My Mom is making the Ham and Best stuffing in the world! My sister and her family are preparing the rest.
I was watching some YouTube videos this week and checking out one of my All Time Favorites "kathyorta" and she did a tutorial on a "Matchbook Album", all I can say is Love It! I got all of my supplies and last night after work, I went and did one! Yes, in less than one night I did an entire album!

Times are very tough here, my honey is now a full time student, so no extra income coming in from his old job(lost it, and SC is a right to work state, so they denied him unemployment) my eldest child is looking for a job, so I have my income, plus my hubby has some retirement income, look I ranted! The reason I am getting to all this is because we are not buying gifts this year! Yes, you heard right! I am making a few and giving my children a small amount of cash, I have managed to put aside, but that is it. I am blessed to have a wonderful family!

So, I wanted to show you what I have done. Now, I am going
to go back and write measurements out and such, but I really LOVE it! Thank you Kathy Orta for doing an awesome tutorial!

Thanksgiving

I can't believe how fast this year has been flying by! I did my "I am Thankful for" on facebook this week, went to a Wonderful "Thanksgiving Dinner" hosted by one of my co-workers, Tracy.
I am getting ready to start on my Christmas cards for friends and family( totally crazy! Different directions for each of them)
Have not purchased one Christmas gift! We are keeping it very simple this year, times are too tough, and my children and family understand(thank goodness).
Here is a Thankgiving card that I adore! Hope you do too!

Time to Scrap!

Hello, I hope everyone remembers today is Veterans Day, remember to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces for serving and protecting this great country of ours!
Well, I had a bad time sleeping last night, woke up at 4 and just stayed awake, so after feeding the animals and making myself a pot of coffee, I went and played on my Silouhette and my E2 and made a layout for a challenge for "My Creative Time for Me" (Emma's blog). Here it is, hope you enjoy!

Week is almost over and I've done nothing!

The week is almost over, and I still need to start on so many projects, and I've done nothing! I need to start on Thanksgiving cards, Christmas cards, make a few gifts for family, cards for a swap, and do something for a challenge. I plan to spend most of my day tomorrow doing all that, but I have no mojo! What's a girl to do?
I hope everyone has a fantastic day, and I hope to create! This is what one of the pages we created at S.H.E.A. For a Christmas paper bag album, my favorite page!

November is here

Well, November came in here to South Carolina quite cold, not as cold as our friends up north but none the less cold.
Not feeling up to par today, so I thought I would share a page or two from the paper bag Christmas album class I went to at Scrappin' Happily Ever After. Have a great day!
